Garmin Overlander options discontinue

I buy an Overlander for my overlanding expedition. It had everything I need. So I began with the GPS. Few months after I would like to buy the GMT60 for live trafic. Impossible to buy one. Out of stock and discontinu. I wrote to Garmin support service. Answer: We are sorry, use an other device for live trafic! Strike one !

few months after I look to complete my dash cam Garmin with the backup cam C35. Same fuc….. thing! Out of stock and discontinu.

So they chose to stop producing option and they decide to put the overlander gps obsolete to force people to go for the Thread and 1000 bucks more.

It is realy frustrating to put a good amount of money for the Overlander, thinking having a great set up for few years, with updates and others stuff.

DOES ANYONE MAKE AN JUSTICE ACTION FOR THIS? ANY PUSUIT?

I think there is a lot of folks who are realy disapointed of loosing our money in an obsolete device, leaving us without no option for our Overlander.

I’m from Canada, and even in the used market, we can’t find nothing. If you find one, the price is boost so much that is ridicule.

OVERLANDER GPS OWNER, what did you do??

Thanks,

Sébastien

I viewed it as a gimmick immediately, glad I never bought that one trick pony.

Garmin has poor CS from my experience, I've moved on from them.

Garmin has a long history of introducing new products and abandoning them a year or two later. I was suckered into buying a Monterra which they promptly discontinued less than a year later.
The only Garmin product I use now is their GLO antenna which will connect via bluetooth to my Samsung tablet.

Same situation. I finally gave up on them for adventure mapping because of similar disappointments. I still have a garmin RV gps because it’s helpful for routing with the trailer on road trips, but it’s likely my last one. Now I’m experimenting with a combination of Gaia, onX, Roadtrippers, and RV Trip Wizard. Likely going to settle on Trip Wizard and Gaia Based on my experience so far. With Apple Maps and CarPlay for regular driving.
