Gas Mileage List!!!

Hey guys, I am wanting to post a real world list of vehicles, engine size, with actualy gas milage for particular vehicles. Simply list your vehicle, to include make, model, year, engine size, and your on hwy, and off hwy MPG- The reason I am doing this is simply to get a comparision to other vehicles out there, as I am having quite a MPG sticker shock with my new adventure mobile. I doubt I'm the only one to have this thought. I'll begin-

2006 Dodge Power Wagon, 5.7L V8 hwy- 12 ish, off road 10.5

2006 4runner 4.0L DOHC 24 valve EFI VVT-i V6

Highway ave: 18+ (best tanks 19mpg)

City: 15.5-16.5

Getting better with age, just about 20,000 miles :smiley_drive:

I'd be very happy..........if gas wasn't ~$3.50/gal, I use premium.

Welcome. I revised it with gearing and tire size.

It is probably important to note that my mileage numbers are just typical. Driving into a stiff headwind, abnormal amounts of climbing, etc. seriously kill my highway mileage.

2004 Dodge 2500 4x4, CTD, 4" lift, 35's, Predator programmer, AFE intake, MBRP 4" exhaust system, getting 12 mpg working it hard, 15 mpg city and highway or regular towing, and straight hi-way it will pull 18 mpg. I don't drive in a manner that is condusive to good mileage.

On the 5.7 hemi we have been installing Superchips 3815 programmer and have experienced a noticeable power gain and mileage increase, one customer claims to have picked up 3 mpg with just the programmer. The hemis also respond very well to an exhaust system, headers, and a cold air intake which will generally get you a couple more mpg along with a good power increase. The hemis like to breathe, we have been using Flowmaster cat back systems, JBA headers, and AFE intakes with good success. The exhaust has a bit of a rumble to it but has no reverberation back into tha cab unlike some other systems we have tried, Magnaflow makes a beatiful system but the incab noise levels are brutal. We have done this to 6 Power Wagons to date.

Cheers,
Mark.

Stock Grand Cherokee we use around town and commutes. Before I taught myself to drive the vehicle using the fuel consumption reading on the onboard computer I got 16.4 mpg

I deliberately keep external impedementia to a minimum for security and gas mileage.

I've only run one tank of fuel so far, so my mileage isn't exact. I'm adding a turbo and larger tires in hopes of getting myself above 15MPG. At $3.50/gal for regular diesel, its costing me around $0.30/mi just for fuel!!
