I remember hearing the OPEC guy say something to the effect of, people were buying at $140 a barrel and so we should be selling at $140 a barrel.
It would be ever so slightly more tolerable if I knew some of the money we were paying was going toward foreign oil independence, investment in alternate energies, or building an infrastructure for the future that involves renewable resources.
But instead, $4 gas just makes the US oil companies richer, and the Middle Easterner's so rich they can waste money building places like Dubai.....
