I know this thread hasnt been touched in a while but I am just now finding it and I love the roof rack. Are you still running it ? and do you have any drawings for it? Id love to make one similar to it because I want to be able to get to the hard top also and yours looks like it has the most room to install and remove the top.

Updates -

Update Time - I am enjoying the 2013 Jeep Rubicon. I am still rolling around on the stock wheels with the AEV 2 1/2" lift. Fuel economy is averaging around 16 mpg.

My Dad picked up this nice 2008 Earthroamer. He has been putting thousands of miles on it in the past year. This picture is from our return trip from picking it up in Colorado.

The Earthroamer has been to Baja 3 times already, once all the way to Cabo. I managed to get away on one of the trips.

Camping and playing in Baja. Miles(brother) is paddling the SUP.

I am not normally a surfer but this surf break was empty and I gave it a go! I love the ULI SUP for its compact size and easy transportation. I would highly recommend one.

The family took an extended vacation to Jackson Hole, Wy. I have been trying to get my boys involved in some alternative sports. Here we are on String Lake waiting for the lightning to strike us!

One more of Nathan paddling on a different day at String Lake. Just Awesome!

Nathan is continuing to impress me with his skateboarding. At 9 he got his Kick Flips down.

Ethan is still putting down cool lines on the unicycle.

I am still riding the one wheel daily. Have not missed a day this year. Just passed 880 miles for the year and a whopping 202,000 vertical feet. This was from a recent ride at the Preserve in Scottsdale, AZ. I love riding these trails.

From the last Desert Rendezvous. Sleeping in the Jeep has become a favorite of mine. Still trying to shrink my gear pile and continue with my new found theme. Less is more! Ha

Oh and I survived Overland Expo West 2015. A view out the Jeep window one morning. Auto start and a turned on heater is just like cheating.

Thanks for asking and I hope everyone else is getting outside and playing!!

Excellent update!
I'd like to see more about the built-in casework evidenced in this shot:

The floor turned out really nice. I wish someone would offer a nice replacement floor for the cargo area that is secure and drillable (to mount things).

Hello Joe,

Well close to a year late. Seems I don't check this thread very much. This might just be of interest to you. www.goose-gear.com

Well after 3 years and 45,000 miles I finally broke down and bought some new tires. BFGoodrich 34x10.5R17 The stance is much better in person. Obviously they are quieter then the BFGoodrich Mud Terrains so that is a plus. Only minus so far is there is an increase in stopping distance and a slight lag in the go department. All to be expected.

American Adventurist - Desert Rendezvous 2016 - Another great event!

My sleeping arrangement for the event. Nothing beats sleeping inside the Jeep!

new tires look great! Also really like your sliders with the body plate to protect the paint below the door sill.
Very nice rig!

Nice Justin! Do you just pull out that drawer when you sleep in there?

Hi Ryan, the drawer was in there for photographic purposes. I usually roll with just the refrigerator.

Thanks You, Scott. The TeraFlex Rocker Panels are the only modification that I actually gained payload. They are made of aluminum. I have had them on 2 Jeeps and I would buy them again.

Thanks for the heads up on the TeraFlex Big Brake kit. I will look into it. This is my 5th Jeep so I am pretty use to the no go. Like you said I will just enjoy the ride.

In the last month or two we have spent several days in Anza Borrego Desert. On one occasion my boys joined in and road dirt scooters from Ranchita to Culp Valley. Five miles of down hill fun. When I asked Nathan if he wanted to go up and do it again he said his hands were a little bit sore.

The starting point!

Nathan making good use of the terrain.

Lunch stop down by the river in Coyote Canyon.

Finally the ride out of Coyote Canyon. Awesome day!
