I’m having a hard time sourcing a used electronic side mirror, and I’m not willing to spend more than 150 dollars for a brand new one import from Latvia.

Found this website selling it for 35 dollars, but manual. I think I will be just fine.

There are some available on Amazon, over $100 but for a pair.

Also there were a few junk yards here in Houston that had Monteros that could be another option.

Anyone ever try and troubleshoot why they start shaking?

Yes, the yoke is made of plastic. With age and heat exchange it started to crack overtime.

You can probably fix it with JB Weld but I was having a hard time taken them a part.

I used the zip tie method to fix it and still have full use of the power option. Google zip tie fix for sideview mirror a video of a Landcruiser should come up, the same procedure down to the screw under the mirror.

Yes, tried to disassemble but was afraid of breaking it, so i pivoted the electronic mirror all the way to one side and was able to fit a small tube of silicone in the gap (or you could glob it on a chopstick) and you should see the plastic tabs with holes that go over posts, they are generally broken allowing the wiggle. Just put a glob on each broken tab, took me 2 tries to get it on there right, solved my wobble issue. Electronic mirror function still works fine.
You could do JB weld as well, i just had silicone and it seemed to work fine, absorbs vibration nicely.

After a lot of research about Yakima Skyrise rain fly leaks etc.. I went ahead and purchased the Skyrise 3 version because...

1. I think the leaking issue might be exclusive to Skyrise 2

2. Leak issue, this is easy fix and I do have a solution

3. I got it for 690 dollars after all the discounts and gift cards that I got for my B Day, it’s hard to pass up

So far I like it, I will give an update after my trips in the near future.

Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. Honestly I was so close to dropping big bucks to the hard shell tent but come to think of it now, I’m glad I didn’t.

I will try this for couple years and see how it goes.

Welp!

What can I say, today it was the day I supposed to finally install my new carpet! But it seems like Montero God does not want me to finish it today... it is what it is.

Problem one,

The rear seat, I can’t figured it out how to put this one up... after an hour of reading online, and manuals I just threw a towel and did it the hard way... remove the screws in the most complex space and finally, it came off!!
