GEN1 lower control arm help

Hi all,
I’m working through the FSM on pulling my lower control arms. Is it required to pull the CV axles to get the height for the lower control arm bolts out? I’m stuck on this.

I got it by swinging the CV assembly forward, but I’m stuck on lower ball joint. It is limited vertically by the CV shaft. I have the UCA and TIE disconnected

Pull the CV. Make life easy and get some room.

Yea, that would have been nice. This was just a weekend project on my daily, so I needed to be sure it was reassembled by Monday. I’ll replace the lower ball joint when I work through the hub/brake refresh

I will say I earned this one though. The old bushing sleeve didn’t come out without a fight.

Only casualty was the rear cap on my LH anchor arm which I’ll have to replace.
