Sinuhe and I are working on a media project, which called for a "meeting" somewhere in the wilds of the Southwest.
So Sinuhe issued a little challenge for the trip. Go somewhere close to Prescott, that I had never been, and only use a map and compass to navigate.
We got lost (momentarily), came to locked gates, wandered about a bit and eventually found one of the more interesting roads I have travelled in Central Arizona, and it was 30 minutes from the office. Good times.
Only a map, and my 15 year old Air Force lensatic compass. This also demonstrated a good use of a roof rack, getting high enough to see prominent land features. Image: Sinuhe Xavier
Here are my attempts at a little photo essay. Sinuhe's images are much better, so maybe he will post a few.
