Gila River revisited 08/28...yes, another day trip!

How did you manage to capture a picture of the lightening? I was pondering this the other day as I watched a nice "show" in the sky recently.

In this case it was still light out so I couldn't keep the shutter open long enough to get lucky. I put the camera on the tripod and held the button half way down for it to auto focus and waited for a strike. I was quick enough 5 or 6 times to catch them.

If it is at night just leave the shutter open for the desired amount of time.
