To make a long story longer, it appears that we may be moving from Oregon to Texas right before Thanksgiving. There isn't enough time to finish our build, but we'd like to get it fully mounted (done), get the exterior presentable, and get it fully insulated, so that we can sleep in it on the way.
I can't believe @Jnich77 hasn't posted this in response yet.

It is Portland that we are escaping.
Can you bring the Portland Japanese Garden with you? :)

No.

And from the looks of Dollar General's inventory, I may have to bring my own beer. The HEB had a better selection, but nothing like we do here...

I've been to Portland OR a number of times. I always enjoyed my visits to the the Portland Japanese Garden and seeing friends who live near Portland, but, I wouldn't want to live in Portland OR.

Would you be able to legally brew your own beer while on the road in the US? Would it be worth it to do so if you can?

Or are you just going to stack cases of beer next to your camper's Jacuzzi? ...

Oh wow, that sucks. I get that Portland is no place to be but unless you are moving into west texas it is not going to live up to the outdoors you are used to. My condolences.

The tub won't be completed by the time we leave- we're planning to use truck stop showers.

And we probably won't be doing any drinking during our moving trip...

Oops, I wasn't clear, I'm sure you have your move on your mind, but I was actually thinking of when you have moved and have completed your rig. :)

Hopefully you'll be able to legally make your own beer on the road. That way you'll really be able to tell people that your camper is a home brew rig!

Stay safe prepping and moving!

Yesterday we finished insulating the walls and did the ceiling. The weather forecast said it was going to be down around freezing last night, so we decided to spend the night in it to see how well the insulation works.

It actually dipped below freezing last night, and even though we haven't foamed the gaps, our own body heat alone was almost enough to keep us warm. We had a tiny little 750-watt heater in there, but we kept having to turn it down and turn it off to keep us from sweating...

The rioters said they'd calm down when Trump's federal troops were removed. That was months ago.

I last visited the Portland OR area several years ago. I made the decision that I wouldn't want to live in Portland OR over a decade ago. :)
