Got a new stove for christmas!

Just had a quick question about my new stove. Simple question I know...but it's my first propane stove.

Am I locked into using coleman propane bottles? The prices appear to be a bit high.

Will any similar stove/bbq propane cylinder be compatible with the stove?

No. Any propane cylinder will work. In addition you can get an adapter hose and a small 5# pound refillable tank which will save you a bunch of money.

I have the same stove and use a bulk cylinder usually; 5' extension hose.

Its been my experience that non coleman bottles do not screw in as good, I guit using them on my lanterns.
