Got Cargo?

I've been sitting on this link for a while. Some of you probably have seen these before, but some of you many not be familiar with these unusual frames: http://francescycles.com/

I would certainly not want to ride one for any real distance, but if I had a keg to fetch, a lab to haul (which I do), or a bundle of goods to return from town, this would be fun. The designs are not entirely new as "idler" steering bikes were around 100 years ago, but the craftsmanship looks top shelf. I've not really taken to the new crop of "cargo bikes" like the xtracycle or the Big Dummy, but this is just odd enough to catch my eye.

Bunny hopping a curb would be a real thrill!

I forgot another one. For those not afraid to drop $4800 on a little urban go-getter with pedals: http://www.metrofiets.com/

These have been around in Europe for ages. I'm sure those models were a tad more affordable.

For example, a French Postal Service delivery bicycle would be sweet to have. You could easily get a couple six packs on that front rack.

Along those lines, a brand that, IME, few cyclists seem to know about:

This place is right around the corner from my shop http://www.wheelhousebikes.com/bakfiets/
So I see these bikes crusing around town all the time. I'd totally have one if they were'nt so expensive. Great ride to go to the grocery store with. I borrowed on once and it was fun to ride. The steering/handling is really strange at first. Maybe someday I'll find a deal on a used one.
