ive been browsing the boards for a while, and now that ive got some mods done i feel its time for an introduction.
heres my 04 at first with 2.5" rustys, arb, defender rack (blah), 255's, enjoying the beach at corolla.

i felt the arb was weighing down the front so i swapped in a set of 4" iro coils in the front and went up to 265's. the next day my kevins rack came in (not pictured)

was looking to change my wheels, found a good deal on a set of jk steels. then spent some time painting them up. pictured with kevins rack

the following pics are how she is now. i had taken the rack down for about a month and did a "mock up assembly" with all the goods, making some mount brackets for front lights, jack mounting, etc. i made a wiring harness for all six lights including a way to fold away the rears to keep the fuzz away. lights are ipf 968 on arb, 868 on rack

Thats a good looking Cherokee.

Are you sticking with the rubber you have or will you progress to an aggressive AT or MT?

Grands are great expedition rigs because of how comfortable they are! And 3 people can sleep in the back.

How come you bought new 265 tires but stuck with the street tread?

BFG AT KOs are just as quiet as street tires!

thanks guys for the comments!
since the grand is my dd i wanted something a lil more street friendly, they are at's, but prob not as "at" as a bfg, but i have been looking at rubber that is more aggresive. gonna let these run down a bit, then ill bump the grand another 1" or so and the same in tire.
as for sleeping in the back, ive been trying to make a sleeping platform, with a false floor to the spare tire well used for storage etc. ive insulated the cargo area behind interior trim and under factory carpet. pics to come.
update: just installed ome ss today
thanks again guys more pics to come!

hey all!
its been awhile since ive posted/updated. there was a period where i didnt have a digital camera and also internet access. here are some pics of my sleeping/storgage dealio. this idea was spawned from theksmith's seat removal mod.
-the cardboard that you see were quick templates i made up for window "blanks", to be transferred to wood of somekind? havent got that far yet. ideas?) after that i might ditch the net in favor of an "attic" maybe, dunno yet. will get more pics this weekend.

awesome to see someone really commit (cutting up some of the interior) - cleanly done though!

on the window templates - what about just tinting the side windows black since you don't really need them? and then just have to deploy the rear block-out. maybe make it out of that plastic sign material that looks like cardboard, would be lightweight and still fairly robust, could even have it folded in the middle then so it doesn't take up too much room... just some ideas

anyway, glad to see you back on the forum!
