GPS Question

I currently have a old garmin handheld GPS, the one in my GX and a Garmin nuvi. I am trying to decide if this is enough or do I need more. I am thinking of getting the topo maps for my nuvi, but can decide if I should spend that much on the nuvi or buy a Garmin 60csx. What would be the best for exploration in the US.

The problem with the Nuvi for use outside of the vehicle would be battery life. Once dead you cant replace with fresh batteries. At least not on mine. How old is the handheld? A newer one would have a better antenna and would work better under leaf cover as well as have a higher resolution screen and be able to load color maps. Besides it's a great excuse to buy new toys!!:wings:

I'd hold off till we see what the ipad can do.

The Garmin Nuvi 500 has a replaceable battery and it comes with topo.
