Grandpa Builds A 2000 Montero

I may paint them in the future...

Here's my OEM 7"s painted in black, color keyed to the trim on my 95, then clearcoated. I got them used and they were rough. Had them sandblasted first.

With it getting dark earlier, and with the active wildlife around home, I added some better lights. A pair of Hella 700FF.

The steering has felt a little loose so I replaced the tie rod ends and the ball joints today. Does anyone know if there are any alignment adjustments on the front of the Montero, or just the toe-in? Thanks.

Oh, and leave the wheels stock. It looks better, IMO. The whole black wheel thing has played out a couple years ago as far as I'm concerned.

Really does look great. So, i thought gen II.5's came with rear lockers with the winter package...(heated seats and all that). Is it only 1998 and 1999 gen II.5's?

I think I'm up to date on maintenance.

Last weekend I did the ball joints and tie rod ends.

This weekend I replaced the timing belt, water pump, cam seals, crank seal, hoses, spark plugs and wires, and valve cover gaskets. I'm glad that's done.
