Grasshopper's DII Build

Funrover - I'm extremely happy with the bumper itself. It is built very well. The swing away needs some work on design, but overall not a bad product. All together I paid $850 for everything and that included shipping. That was back when they ran a 40% off sale, so I lucked out. I got an awesome deal for the price I paid.

I put on my hood black out kit last weekend, huge difference in glare from the sun. Now to use it for its intended purpose of glare from my lamps on the roof rack. I placed an order with Rover Tracks today for upgrading my steering components. Will update when that is all done.

Mine should be in tomorrow. Still waiting on my OME steering damper and it doesn't look like that will be here by the weekend. So, there goes my weekend plan of doing the steering upgrade. BTW - spark plug choices - what is everyone using?

For spark plugs just use the Champion stock spec plugs. Not worth messing about with any aftermarket wizbang plugs.

I have a thread about it here somewhere and I list the Champion plug number.
You can go the dealer and get the plugs for $12 each or go to NAPA and get the same plug for $3 each.

What springs are you running in the back?
How are they handling your new rear bumper, both empty and loaded with cargo in the back and two full jerry cans on the swing out, ?

I'm running SG 2" back there. Sagging quite a bit actually. I'm going to need to upgrade to their 4" spring eventually. I'm heading to Anza Borrego in a couple weeks, so I'll be loaded down back there. I'll let you know how that goes.

Some recent pics, we'll start w/ token driveway shot and then the new Rover Tracks steering w/ OME steering damper.

Fish Creek Wash

Went back to Anza Borrego this past weekend. Good trip - got to drive back through the rain/snow this morning. Nothing like Syracuse snow though. Does anyone have a LH backup light/fog light for an 03/04 that they are looking to part with? Lost mine on the trail.
