Greetings, I am a new to this forum. I noticed lots of my fellow Cruiserheads from IH8MUD are participating and after reading some of the cool content here and after getting a copy of the Journal, I thought I'd sign up.

I've owned 10 Land Cruisers, 7 of which have been 80 Series, all built for offroad/expedition use. My latest in a 1997 that has a number of mods including lift, dual batteries, ARB bumeper/rack, RSE-DVD, OEM subtank, blah blah blah. I also have an M416 in the works and recently won a Mombasa tent at the Lone Start Cruiser Rally. So I am about as expedition-ready as I have ever been.

I am a co-founder of Lone Star and have been around Cruiser for about 16 years. Most of my LC use now is true expedition stuff, with usually only one or two hard-core wheeling opportunities a year and a couple of trips. I do all my own work on my trucks...its an affliction. This latest truck is also my daily driver:

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
Cool and welcome, that sure is a lot of 80 series to have owned. My former charcoal grey diesel 60 series sprung over with turbo ended up in Houston for some months by a gentleman, Roy Dingh who worked for Halliburton last we spoke. I believe he may ahve been active with LS Houston? Cheers, Andre

I churned through a few back in the early 90s as I learned my way from FJ to FZJ. Sold one out of sheer stupidity (went to Todd Kaderabek, Toyota Trails Editor in NC) and was taken out by a dumptruck pulling tree shredder a couple winters back. I am hoping this present one lasts a while. I would not relish the idea of changing over the OEM subtank system I just installed.

Welcome to the portal, the other day I read about your true OEM install on mud - now that's impressive.

That is one GREAT looking truck. I love the sub-tank install, we had a similar factory set-up like that in our 70 series in Australia. Welcome to the Expo.

Cheers

Dave
