Greetings, I am a new to this forum. I noticed lots of my fellow Cruiserheads from IH8MUD are participating and after reading some of the cool content here and after getting a copy of the Journal, I thought I'd sign up.
I've owned 10 Land Cruisers, 7 of which have been 80 Series, all built for offroad/expedition use. My latest in a 1997 that has a number of mods including lift, dual batteries, ARB bumeper/rack, RSE-DVD, OEM subtank, blah blah blah. I also have an M416 in the works and recently won a Mombasa tent at the Lone Start Cruiser Rally. So I am about as expedition-ready as I have ever been.
I am a co-founder of Lone Star and have been around Cruiser for about 16 years. Most of my LC use now is true expedition stuff, with usually only one or two hard-core wheeling opportunities a year and a couple of trips. I do all my own work on my trucks...its an affliction. This latest truck is also my daily driver:
