Last time I know they were active in the club was the late 1990's, like 1998/1999 ish. He was the Club President for a while I believe? Just thought I would ask...lol, saw the CC in your signature.

Small update. Today I ordered an Eccotemp L5 on demand propane HW heater and a Flojet 2.9 GPM fresh water pump. I am going to source a tank here soon, and will get all that installed very soon. The kool part, the company I ordered it from on Amazon contacted me about 45 minutes later and said they were out of stock on the L5 due to a high number of overnight orders ($129.00 is a good deal). So they offered me an L7 in its place for the same price. 3000 more BTU, double the manufacturers warranty, stainless hardware in place of plastic and yeah... same price.

Nice service and a super quick response to an issue that would have made me pretty irked if it was back-ordered.

Check them out!

Love that table. Very handy!! Can't wait till I'm to the point where I can start thinking about cool stuff like that. I'm struggling just to get mine ready for paint.

Yeah I know that pain. I was at that point last year, and then I went to town on it for about 2 weeks to get it done. Mine was not stripped down to bare metal, there was no reason. The original paint was in quite good condition and was not failing except where it was damaged and there was some spot rust. All in all it was in solid shape. Now that it is done (ha ha, done) the paint part, I have been able to concentrate on the "nice stuff".

Yesterday in spite of picking up a nasty cold, I managed to get some work done on the trailer and the Jeep in preparation for this seasons trips. First I installed the removable mud flaps that Mike (Wavebreaker) made for me from his design. They were a beyotch to get in, but they work great. Drilling at a right angle is a PITA.

Next up was mounting the aluminum channel and then the table/load dividers into the tub. Not so hard, but it took me a few hours as I was moving WAY too slow yesterday.

you can see the fabric I glued into the aluminum channel to keep the table tops from getting too beat on while traveling. I am also going to get a rubber sheet, the same checker plate rubber as the mud flaps actually for the tub bottom to help keep things from sliding around and from getting marred up from the liner (rough stuff).

Once again, thanks to Mike for your help taking my ideas from just ideas and making them into a reality! One day I will have a shop, and actually learn to weld, for now...thanks!

More work...

I picked up some Hypervent (http://www.hyperventmarine.com/products.html) for under the RTT mattress. NOT CHEAP stuff, but available locally for the same price I found it for online, so yeah, it is what it is. No pics as I had to rush as it was starting to spit and I didn't want to pack the tent away wet. The stuff is rough as hell to cut, but went in well and works great. It actually made the mattress a bit more comfortable! Really good to keep the condensation down under the mattress.

I then set about installing the 2 x lid end plates for the gas struts to bolt through. Keep in mind this is an all wood lid, so I needed to reinforce the end gables to support the lift and weight stresses. Polyurethane glue and some screws and voila.

Then I installed the rubber tub liner I picked up. When I took it out last summer on its first and last trip, I noticed that stuff was sliding around on the floor, and it was taking a pounding even though I carefully loaded and strapped. I guess 1-2 hours of washboard will do that. SO I went to Princess auto, and picked up the last of the roll of this checkerplate-ish rubber. Easy to cut, and reasonably priced I guess.

I carefully trimmed to size and trimmed around the divider supports for a nice fit. Looks great, smells like...well rubber, but it works amazing! I then dropped in the dividers and popped in all the bins and water cans for a test fit...so sweet.

Tonight, wire up a few lights outside on a switch if I can locate one? I swear I had some spares??

That hypervent stuff looks interested. How much was it? Can't wait to hear the feedback on it

Well, it was not cheap... my CVT Mt Hood is 72" x 98", or 6' x 8'. The stuff only comes in 39" wide rolls and is sold by the foot (1 foot x 39"). I therefore needed 2 x 8' pieces @ $14.50 a foot...ouch. $230.00 in total, which was a hard pill to swallow. The last time i used the RTT the underside of the mattress was pretty damp in the AM...so it is basically required when it gets chilly.

worked great, will pop a few pics up once it stops raining. Or should I say if it ever stops raining? Supposed to use it this weekend, but we might haul up the BIG Coachman instead, warmer and drier.

Great thread. great read. I've bookmarked those plano boxes and the Deezee boxes.
Only one problem I can see that you need to fix. With the table in place, your beer bottle opener is inaccessible.

Thanks man. Moved it on Tuesday night...lol. I also had to move the OEM tie down loop as well. No biggie, I moved the loop to the inside and the bottle opener to the far right side of the trailer on the same panel so I can open beverages while cooking.

Win.

So I was trolling a few of the other build threads on here and found a sweet battery charger/maintainer setup (Matt's build IIRC?). So I went and picked up a Guest Pro 6 AMP kit with the waterproof plug setup. Well they had the wrong plug, so I am waiting for the rest of my order to arrive this coming Friday.

This will all be mounted in the tongue box along with my 1000 watt inverter and a maybe a solar maintainer once I get the fridge (but that will likely go in the Jeep).

I so wish this was here now, I really wanted to get that installed this weekend.

Today a nice big box showed up at my door. In it were 2 smaller boxes, one containing the FloJet and one the L7 tank-less from Eccotemp. It is a lot bigger than the L5, but should still fit in where I want to mount it. Looks great, very stoked.

Picking up the water tank tomorrow.
