I know it's been discussed here, and pictures have been floating around of this thing in Moab -- but I came across these pictures on another site and thought I'd pass them along.

I admit it looks good, but it's another one of those vehicles that looked better as a concept vehicle and the manufacturer didnt want to take a risk to make it a reality.

Oh well.

I'd like to see this thing next to a tacoma or something similar for comparison...hard to tell what's up sometimes just from pictures.

I too liked the concept, but I also liked the jeep hurricane -- so the cool stuff never really makes it to us mortals.

I like the H3T's. And now you can get then with a V8 :) . Thats a big improvement over the Colorado's inline 5.

If I had the cash right now, it would look good in the driveway. Especially with 0% financing... but alas, I'm in cost cutting mode this year:)

I still say it will be an awesome vehicle if they put the 4.5L V8 diesel in it.

IF GM were to sell Hummer to some foreign investment group, the H3T would probably become a Colorado model (they are built in the same factory). Then eventually we might actually be able to buy the H3T running gear under a Colorado single cab.

Remember this project assembled by GM engineers?

The single cab Colorado with H3 running gear turned up at the press introduction to the H3T in Moab earlier this year. It was used by GM as a support vehicle during the days when the journalists were driving the H3Ts around on the trails of Moab.

The single cab truck was assembled by GM engineers working on the H3T as an after-hours project. It has the stock Colorado 5 speed and auto trans, and the H3 transfer case, axles and tires.

they've been shopping around for a while. GM really had eyes bigger than their stomaches...they leased the name from AMG in '99 (originally a 10 yr lease) and started pumping out trucks as fast as they could from '02 to the present. Got a soccer-mom and poser rep because...uh...alot of soccer-moms and posers drive them!

In recent years scientists (and Arianna Huffington) have proven that hummers are responsible for global warming, child obesity, and the death of baby seals. There is also speculation that Hitler drove one. If only we knew then what we know now!

that being said, few people realize that they are quite comfy, capable, and get the same gas mileage as any other 4x4 truck on the road.
