Has anyone ever heard of Tactical Armor Group?

I actually have a TAG bumper that I got on a "Black Friday" sale and it works for everything I have done. I have winched, jacked and bumped into many things with it and never have had an issue. My only issue is that I think the diameter of the round hoop that protects the headlights could be a little bit larger for ascetic reasons.

NOW, TAG is officially dead and the company is out of business.

They closed their business a few months ago and stole the money people paid for deposits, including myself. The owners name is Kyle (wish I knew his last name) and I'm assuming his wife, Ashley. Apparently this guy will open a business for awhile, accept a bunch of deposits, then close the business keeping all the money. The work he actually does do is not impressive. Apparently TAG was his 3rd business and we are assuming he'll be opening another if he hasn't already.

I found a lot of info on TAG in some of the jeep and Bronco forums as well as complaints to BBB.

Formerly known as Kennesaw Mountain Armor, I believe, and with an impressive list of complaints behind them.
.
I would advise anybody in the Atlanta area to be very careful about any "New" fabrication businesses opening up.

TAG used to be called Kennesaw Mountain Bumpers. And they were based in Georgia, but ironically no where near Kennesaw Mountain(Its a civil war battlefield, its pretty cool). I actually bought one of their bumpers back in 2004-2005 time frame. They were the only company that made a rear tire swing away. I had a WJ(1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and they had built a few bumpers for the platform and was able to make one for me while was in California(stationed in Death Valley in the Navy, great wheeling) and off the car. The fitment was decent enough. But all the metal was solid and the welds were good. There took some time trying to get the fitment right, and that was frustrating.

I heard about all the negative things about Kennesaw Mtn after I got my bumper and on to now. I didn't really have much of an issue with my bumper, but it really sounds like a lot of people got screwed by them. Sucks to hear.
