Anyone that appreciates classic bikes, good riding, and overland adventures needs to watch Cycles South.

Its been out longer than ive been alive, but i just recently stumbled upon it on Netflix.
The groovy narrating and grainy filming is excellent. Similiar to the movie Endless Summer.

Plus being on a roadtrip long enough that you have to trim your friends' beard with 2 pocket knives is a thumbs up in my book. HAHA
Its inspired me to put my DRZ 400 for sale and search for a classic enduro bike and a pair of cowboy boots. :costumed-smiley-007

If you've watched this film already what's your take on it?

Hilarious film. I often wondered what parts (specifically their female companions) were partially staged, but I enjoyed it.

The wife & I watched that a few Sundays ago. My wife didn't want to watch it at first but then got in to it.

Thanks for the recomendation, that was a great one. My wife and I enjoyed it. I turned my FIL and my wife's uncle onto it as well.

I had to ask my FIL what their "thumpers" were. BSA 441's (could have been 445, sorry, can't remember what he said). They held up amazingly well for the abuse they were put through.

I got a laugh out of the "cross country" riding. A lot has changed in 40 years.

Awesome, movie, pretty sure the type of sea turtle they were eating is endangered nowadays LoL ( I don't think the fact that they were eating sea turtle is funny, but how different of a time that must have been) much different than today

Awesome adventure flick.

There is so much that is just plain wrong in this movie according to today's standards of wildlife preservation and tread lightly sensibilities. I was horrified at times.

There is so much that is just plain right in this movie when it comes to a true overland adventure.

It's also pretty funny..
