HDJ100! swap

I got myself a contour camera, and did this. Obviously the Micriphone is in the engine bay next to the turbo 
, don't get scared it is very quiet in the cabine, just like a V8.

Yeah, you are wrong about the 105s. The 1HDT is very common in 105s down south, or as you say the 1HD-FTE. A soild axle swap will not make it any wider then it is now, that is if you used the right axle. I would think the ideal axle to use would be the front from the 105 series.

Not cheap, you don't do this on a budget. But it is pretty much impossible to give even a good estimate until you have bought the donor truck.
Finding a wreck LHD HDJ100 is hard, in fact since i did my truck i've been looking for one and haven't found one in 2 years.

Keep in mind in the video the microphone was 4 inch away from the turbo.
I can hear the oussshh in the video, but in the cabine it is quiet just like a V8 no whistle. Most people, 98%, dont even notice it is diesel.
I have no boost gauge so i wouldn't know when it comes but probably 1500 rpm, really i dont know
IMO it idles perfectly.
But you can get crazy and remove the exhaust, now you can hear the whistle. In this clip the camera is opposite to exhaust, it would eb louder facing it

I don't understand why you put a diesel in your car? In Belgium we love to drive the petrol landcruisers. All the cruisers here have a diesel engine. It is rare to see a petrol landcruiser in my country. I drive a landcruiser FZJ 80 with the 1FZ-E engine and it drives much better than all the landcruiser HDJ100 that I have driven.
If you drive normale with the HDJ100 it consumes 10-12L, if you pull a trailer 16-18L.
