In my 04 F250, the factory radio continues to play after the vehicle is shut off and the key is removed until you open the door. This is neat feature that I really like. I replaced the head unit with one from Alpine a few years ago and the feature remained.
Last night, I put in a new Alpine head unit with built in bluetooth and Ipod control. Now when i turn the key off, the radio shuts off. Does anyone know which wire stays hot until the door opens? Or is this a limitation of my new hardware? I know I can try a voltmeter, but it's pretty tight for experimenting and I'd need a second person to open the door.
