I'll just start by saying you are nuts for going in the middle of summer, make sure your cooling system is 110% up to the task of running the a/c while going very slow. And if you are wondering if your rig can handle hells, go watch the video of the ford crown Victoria on the trail, you can do most of it in 2wd. I would go check out Chicken Corners and the Gemini Bridges trails, as well as the road that takes you from Deadhorse Point and down to the Potash Rd, very easy but fun. Expect daytime temps of 101-104 and nighttime 80-83, and watch out for rattlesnakes. We live less than 3 hours from there and refuse to go between June and September, it is just too dang hot to call it fun. Does your rig have sliders and skid plates?
No skid plates or sliders. My AC is working fine. Maybe i'll have to rethink the location, and postpone it when it is cooler out there. The kids do not tolerate heat very well, neither does my wife. Any other trails I can do in northern Utah, Idaho. We are not fixed on the location, since we live here. However I do want to do some overlanding this weekend

Even in last week in June Moab was not our favorite place. We did however really enjoy North Rim. Jacobs Lake has lots of dirt road options. Much cooler too.
Bolder Mountain Dixie NF was impressive also.

Moab tip! The city pool is new, amazing and only used by travelers. LoL we spent last week of June in Moab. We spent morning till mid day out exploring then pool afternoon till closing 7pm with nearly the whole place to our selves.
Oddly we found food in Utah over priced and mehh. And we are from the Bay Area where everything is expensive except apparently our food. Our favorite Moab eats was Gilibertos
