**DING **DING [In this corner... weighing in at 10,220 lbs.... a 1993 Landcruiser. ... . ]

By the way those are "Super Heavies" 864's out back that normally ride level on regular trips :D

On our latest support trip in the desert. We supplied 10 rigs and 20 people water, ice, fuel, firewood, and whatever else was needed *(lots of beer) for 4.5 days in the middle of nowhere. That on top of what we normally carry, pullpal, two drawers of recovery gear, Fridge in the 80 fully loaded, 2) 250 lbs drivers, all our gear etc. Each day we'd re-stock while the group ran overland through the desert and meet at a selected new base camp each night.

That weight is a combined total with the Horizon trailer. Both fully loaded. Trailer was carrying 30 gallons of water, 5 lbs of propane, whatever was loaded into the ARB Fridge and 10 bundles of firewood.

During and after the trip, the 80 was inspected for any cracks or stress. None could be found. But we can't verify the frame is still perfect < Joke

Also fully loaded i drove very careful, kept my speed down (sometimes not on purpose) and didn't make any sudden moves. I'll put it this way, if something were to pull out in front of the road at the last minute, we'd be going through it. Even with the electric brakes on the trailer.

Anyways, figured i'd share.

That's a little shy of what my Sportsmobile weighs BEFORE I load for a trip!

Look forward to the trip report surrounding this.

Time to shorten & drill the toothbrushes?

Seriously though, you've taken the title away from MISF's Scout II. It's every day weight runs about 6700 and I'll bet he's in the 7500 range when kitted out for a trip. Only two seats, and no possible way to fit a third person at all!

I love yall's truck. 90% serious, 10% show. :sombrero:

What color is the lower part of the truck (rockers)? I've found myself considering your paint scheme when I repaint my FJ62 (silver/ dark gray).

Yeah, but mine is a combine weight. I think the 80 is 7400 when we do a normal run with it by itself.

The 10% cool factor gets the truck up mtn passes faster :D Im hoping EE will have me on their plumbers thread shortly.

Its the factory Moonbeam pearl glow two tone or whatever its called. I can look it up if you need me too. I picked it because i thought it was somewhat rare, later to find out there's plenty of them lol

Wow, Dave, that roof alone is quite heavy with all those fluids up there.

Is that 9 jerry cans and what looks like 2 5-gallon and 2 7-gallon water jugs?

Not accounting for the weight of the containers, thats

278.1 lbs of fuel (assuming petrol), and
200.4 lbs of water.

Thats before you factor in the weight of the rack, the sand ladders, awning, and the two shovels.

So, now I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why my truck weighs so much. I don't have an aux fuel tank, or 9 jerry cans, or 24 gallons of water. I do have 5 skid plates that I estimate weigh about 300-350 lbs. So, there's that, but my truck weighed almost as much as yours with my Horizon attached.

Funny you mention that Chris, come to think of it, our SMB weighed almost identical to this latest scale read. :)

Hey, do you think you could post some pics of the "main" 7 jerry can holder at the front of the rack? I'm trying to figure out a solution for holding all the water and fuel I want to bring with me so I dont have to worry about heading back into town....or paying $1.50 more per gallon in the boonies over back at home.
