HELP! Check engine light after new battery install

I just installed an Odyssey PC1500 battery today and to my surprise, the check engine light came on.

Is this normal and will it eventually go away???

What year Jeep/ Did you use the same CCA as factory?

It's a 2013 JKU. I didn't use the same CCA as factory. I believe Mopar battery is 750. New Odyssey battery is 850.

Make sure you didn't disconnect the battery sensor, while wiggling the new one into place.

This. Different CCA on batteries won't set your check engine light. What is the DTC?

Advance Auto said it P0480 "Cooling Fan Relay"

I'll pull out the battery and double check again.

Found the issue: me. There was a black wire that I assumed was supposed to go to the negative terminal. Switched it and no more check engine light. I feel dumb

Been there done that, and I do this for a living.
