Help me to NOT fail

I like this thread. I'll most def. be using it as a reference when I take solo trips, and even tandem trips.

As far as what I take:

Basic recovery stuff (Don't forget a shovel)
I have a craftsman toolbox that is portable
Extra fluids of each type (I might even swap from power steering fluid to atf-4 to reduce number of fluid types)
Food
Clothes
Way of communicating if I need it (Phone, CB, etc) Maybe as many ways as is practical if you're going to be way out.

Awesome, glad this thread will help more than just me.

Just read the whole thread and didn't see these in there so forgive me if they are.

We just got back from a four nighter. Take a tarp for an awning, or ground cover for vehicle repairs. And some nylon rope to hang in in the trees. And camp chairs. Want you and the misses comfy while dinner is cooking and hanging around the fire.

Have fun and take lots of pics to share here!!

Oh heck no, my dog is a freak! He's a rescue boxer and VERY high anxiety. We've done 2 years of dog training school and he still can't handle social settings.
We take him in the Jeep a couple of times a week and he does great riding, just freaks out around people. :)

Perfect!
We have a tarp we plan on draping over the rear glass so she can do her business in private. It could pull double duty if needed.
Thanks!

Sometimes, it's just the simple things. We were out a few weeks ago. We had about anything a person would want between four vehicles but only one flyswater. It got used a lot. I know I was up at 03:00 smacking the little bastids that wanted to tapdance on my face. Another thought as far as fire, bring a couple of Bic lighters. Matches are fine in a match safe but aren't much good after they get wet. At least a lighter you can dry out and it will work again. Yeah, I've done the flint and steel route and even the bow and stick bit. A cup of gas (Boy Scout fluid) and a burning stick work much better. While we are on fires, a fire poker and enough water to put out the camp fire.

Flyswater- I'll add that. If there's room :)
I've packed a lighter and some Fire sticks LINK

Thanks for the tips!
