Help with lid .

So I found a used lid for my m416 . I need to find some struts for it. It have no experience with this . What length and pounds do I get ?

How much does it weigh? How are you going to mount it? A guy named Patrick Remington has some videos on YouTube, there's one in there where he's figuring out which struts to get. That may be helpful.

Our local NAPA parts store had a good selection. Takes a little digging through the selection to find the ends needed and lift weight.

McMaster Carr, Grainger, et.al. have easy to use online calculators for gas struts.

I purchased my struts from lift support depot. They have a pretty good calculator to help you out, worked for my lid....

I need to find some struts for it.

I get my struts from McMaster-Carr. They'll do a return if they don't work and have detailed PDFs of the open/closed dimensions.



Make sure you mount them so they don't bottom out when closed.
