Hey all,

Pretty sure I'm ordering a 2013 JK wrangler tomorrow as a new "daily" so I figured now would be the time to make my first post.

Why in the bike section? Well, I ride all kinds of bicycles quite a bit, and work for a bike company.

See if you can figure it out based on a sampling of my stable:

Christophe from "here" sent a stack of Overland Journal magazines to my boss a couple months ago and I picked one up to look at over lunch... and it's been game on ever since. I think that it was almost a perfect thing for me to see at the perfect time. Now all of them are stacked next to my bed for reading. Don't tell my boss I took all of them. :peepwall:

Anyway, this place is a natural extension for my love of bicycles, vehicles, and all types of camping and out door activities...and sometime odd combinations of all of those things:

I'm super excited to be a part of this forum (and for the Jeep too I guess) I'm already planning a pretty big road trip for summer 2014 that's going to involve my wife, fatbikes, a roof tent on top of a JK, and the southwest/west coast. More on that later, I'm sure I'll be asking loads of questions.

This summer I'm taking a boat from Hudson WI to Nashville and stopping to ride along the way, so I'll probably need to find a place to post on here about that as well.

Looking forward to hanging out and having some fun!

Hi Palmer!

HA! Put your engine back in, we need to off-road soon!

Pick the Sprinter. I would. :) I actually got a thumbs down from some old ************ on the highway while I was driving to the place where the picture was taken. He was in a beige buick, so that means I'm probably doing it right. Right?

Nice bikes. I've got two Salsa's on my wish list. Mukluk and Casseroll.

Salsa is an awesome company with great CS. One of my QR plastic piece broke and they sent a replacement out (along with brand new springs) and I had it in 2 days.

That's a super sweet Porsche. I've wanted one from that vintage for years. Someday.

Thanks! I grabbed it a little less than two years ago when the market for those was uh, fully depressed. Bummer for who sold it, great for me. Honestly, its a great "toy". 25 mpg, fast enough to be fun, and SUPER easy to work on...but the parts make campy stuff look reasonable. Ha.
