Hi guys I've really enjoyed browsing this forum and thought I'd say hello .

I have a built up 90' 4runner that I enjoy crawling , but I think I enjoy overland trips even more . The Mojave Road , Saline Valley , and finding mines and hot tubs are some of my favorite trips so far ...

Some mods I'm working on currently are a dual battery setup with an upgraded alternator thrown in , and possibly running a York off my (non functional) A/C for airing up tires .

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the folks here , and sharing any knowledge I've picked up along the way .

Good to see another Bay Area member on here. I love driving out in the Santa Lucia Mts as well, killer views.

Great solid axle 4runner...How does it do for longer trips?

It does OK , the Mojave Road is what , 150 miles ? I made it from the the Colorado to Barstow with about 1/3 of a tank left ...

On Highway I get about 17mpg ...

Welcome! I'm in San Jose, always up for a day run to Hollister! My rig looks like yours, could tackle the Rubicon and then head to Moab in the same trip.

Thanks v_man. A friend of mine was there last weekend and he said all gates were opened and there was quite a few people there.
