Yep. I think you hit it. I did that to the 2x4 piece of wood that I used to mock this up. I cut one end at a 90* and the other as you are describing. I like this one better.

Thanks. The importer called me when it arrived and said, "Hey , it's got this outback kinda rack on it. Do you want it or do you want me to scrap it?" I said "Send me a picture before you scrap anything." I about choked when I got the photo. I can't believe he thought I would want to scrap it.
