Back from HIR. We had an amazing trip. Thanks to Neal and Josh for coming along and making such a fantastic trip possible. It took 3 days to get in and out. The trail was a little more technical than I was expecting, but was a blast to run! After the trail we took the ferry across lake Powel from Halls Crossing to Bullfrog. More later, but some pics now:

cheers

Thanks for your hospitality my first time out with EP! The trip was great. The weather was excellent. This is a trail I'll never forget.

Graham and Josh, I would really like to see all of your pics. Do you have them uploaded anywhere?

Here's a link to my full album:

Here's a highlight slideshow:

Am I to understand that HTML is turned off on this forum and there is no way to make the slideshow code below run automatically?

This looks like one of the best ExPo trips of the year. The pics are outstanding! Khan, that slideshow is fantastic. You and Graham take some really great photos. Looks like you all had some classic utah slickrock challenges for sure. Too cool

I really enjoyed seeing the wagon trail evidence. :archaeolo Classic stuff!

Graham, those are great shots of Josh!

I think the 3rd one is where he bent his front right fender and bumper.

That is the place! The ARB took a beating! Right now I don't have all my pics uploaded anywhere. I'll look into that. Thanks for posting your pics. Some great shots there. I really need that one with my front right in the air!

cheers

You should be able to download a full-sized image from my album. If not, I'll be glad to email it to ya. That would make a good 8x10.

I sure wish I had a shot of that quick lean you made towards the edge while going down off Grey Mesa. I honestly thought for an instant you were gone!

I'd also love to see your video. Have you thought of uploading it to one of the video hosting sites such as youtube?

Thanks again for a great time!

Yeah, that was a pucker for sure! No pics or vid of it though. I will post the vid up, but I have to do a little editing first.

cheers!

The one of the Rover 3 wheel'n is sick.

It was pretty interesting at the time too.

I was leading the way and had already proceeded a pretty good distance on up the hill above this obstacle. Josh was in the middle and had just crested this interesting little climb section.

Graham comes on the radio and calmly says something like, "Josh, can you come back here and give us a hand?"

I was a good bit farther away and looked back to see Josh headed down. I grabbed the camera and started the run down the slickrock. I took those two pics as they came into view. Finally, I had to put the camera down and grab onto the front with Josh to help level the 110 monster.

I'll save the rest of the story for Graham!
