You might want to consider making some support straps like the ARB has to help support the cantilevered side. Would be easy to make for your tent and provide some peace of mind.

Its tough to take a picture of because theyre inside the tent, but yours would easily go on the outside.

They mount from one edge of the tent and go over the poles (actually they sew loops into the straps and the poles go through the loops) and then mount to the cantilevered edge.

It kind of seems like that's already what the canvas does. Couldn't hurt to add some extra support though. Thanks for the suggestion!
