Very interesting. I like the "last mile" niche perspective. That's the missing link to successful public transit. That and all of us getting older are key concepts for the future. I am curious though how a ten-kilo powered unicycle would perform with a 90-kilo American aboard.

Very neat and promising. Since I often work with people during their rehabilitation period after and accident, I think this technology has a bright future. I wonder how it will handle water (i.e. rain or small puddle of water on sidewalk from sprinkler)?
