how do you remove window handles?

i was swapping out the brown interior of my first gen 4runner and i ran into a problem i couldnt get the door panels off because of my lack of window handle removal knowledge. even after i ripped off the old brown door panel i still couldnt figure it out. can someeone point me in the right direction?

The easiest way is to use a rag. Its kind of hard to explain. Grab two corners of the rag, go up from the bottom of the window crank (between the door panel and the window crank) with the rag and shimmy it back and forth (front of the door to back of the door) and it will pop the little clip off. Watch out for that little clip to go flying across the garage though. :Wow1:

?????? I've been wondering this for years now, is it the same on a Taco? So, there's a C-clip or something?

yes, it is a clip and there are tools that make removing the handles a lot easier.
