I like my Eezi Awn on my AT Chaser - easy to set up and take down, great ventilation, a dry place in a storm, ... well worth it to me. I have been camping in a variety of tents for over 50 years and this is the best setup I've found for my uses.
I'm just like the OP, I only spend time in the tent if I have a reason or need to, i.e. weather, change clothes, nap, sleep, etc.
Most of all my tents are backpacker tents But I'm doing research on family tents now... I'm liking what I'm hearing about canvas tents. :ylsmoke: With family camping and small kids it makes sense to have a large tent to encompass all the necessary gear it takes to take care of children and be reasonably comfortable.
My favorite one man tent is this Eureka Spitfire. I've used it many times over the last 4.5 years and it has served me well.
