How does everyone get RTT on the roof??

Mine stays on 24/7, so I never had to install it, the dealer did.
It has been on since March of 2008.
What they used was those metal stands that are about 4' long by 2' high, and each installer took a side.
That may work out for you and your wife, unless you go with the hoist system below.
Finally threw some Meguiars number 50 Marine-RV Cleaner Wax on it a few weeks back, and it looks better than new.
I do not think it came waxed from the factory.
Opened it up a few weeks back as it was exposed all winter long to ice, snow, and tons of PNW rain, and it was bone dry inside with no musty smell.
I was very impressed.
If I had a house with a garage tall enough, I would have one of those hoists made for lifting on/off roof top tents.

X2 mine never comes off. It'd take machinery or NBA players.
I use it though the winter and really have no better place to store it anyway. I'll be removing it after the May long weekend for the first time since it was installed so I can take the roof off and do some final work on the rollcage before powdercoating it and putting the whole thing back together for good.

Ours is always on too. We have taken it off a few times which usually results in quite a few unacceptable words and phrases out of me at some point. We use 2 x 4s to create a ramp up to the roof rack, but if it came off very often we would have to find a better system.
I don't remember where I saw it, it may have been here but I saw a guy who had his RTT stored between the rafters in his garage, and it was attached to a pulley/hoist system and when he wanted to install it on the truck he would just lower it down and bolt it in. It was actually a pretty genius idea haha.

Thanks guys for the great ideas and suggestions. They are really good. I do have a unique situation which I should have disclosed.
The problem I have is that I move every 3 months around the country to various areas for my job. I do this by choice and I often live in a downtown area. I keep the tent inside my enclosed trailer. I can't keep it mounted all the time because I park in a parking garage and will have a height problem and I don't worry about it getting stolen. I mounted it once using a hand winch mounted to an over head rafter with out too much difficulty. I did this while home.
I'm thinking of staying with the hand winch and using a large tree branch. Since I'm not around my house it's difficult to ask for help from people I don't know. I was curious if anyone had any ingenious ideas.

Unfortunately, the page won't load....but I suspect that it is similar to what I do....a simple pulley hoist attached to the ceiling of the garage?
It takes me about 5 minutes to mount the easi-awn to the top of the TJ, working solo....and about that to take it off.

I just get somebody to hold the other end and we carry it out the garage and lift it on to the roof. That takes less than a minute, probably another ten minutes to bolt it in place and several hours to drink beer.
