How is your truck set up for an expedition??

In my disco I mainly use pelicans of various sized and the last ones to go in are the first aid and tool boxes. I am thinking about getting some shelving fab'd up, something along the lines of the Mantec defender shelving but for my disco.

I enjoy every opportunity to view that truck of yours Terri ann-

I guess that means you are going to that expo 2011 thingie that is coming up in Southern AZ then. My truck & I plan to attend. Assuming I can find it and don't see a sign for an interesting location along the way that might lure me elsewhere.

Great thread, I seemed to have missed this the first time around. Great eye candy and info for sure. I think what I have found that the best way to refine your setup is to go out and try it. The realities of day to day life living out of a vehicle bring up interesting ways to optimize the setup that you don't think of before hand. For me optimizing setup and breakdown times are key as well as the ease of access to things while you are mobile. I tend to pack my stuff in a modular manner that makes it easy to get what I want for a certain activity or need.

The other moral two is that what is an optimal setup for one person may not work for another depending on their travel style and needs. I feel my current setup works pretty well as a compromise of how I like to travel with the exception that I can't haul canoes or kayaks with the rtt. I think inherently, none of us are ever truly feeling optimized. Teriann might be one of the few exceptions. :D
