How to hual 5 or 6 Scepter fuel cans

My empty generator compartment was used to haul 5 Scepter cans but I repurposed it for an A/C unit and gear.

Now I need a good way to carry 5 or 6 cans on an open trailer. Have you seen any large racks or better yet a lockable box that is just right for these cans that will keep them protected? I thought about this but.......

I suspect the front rack with Scepter would assure the driver in front kept ahead of you (the reverse of tailgating) once they recognized what was there.
It reminded me of my cousin who had 356 Porsches in the 70s. He had modified an old grocery cart to hold a small size oxygen and acetylene bottle. This cart would attach to the rack on the engine cover of the 356. Once the driver behind "woke up"' they created a substantial following distance. One time, another driver cut into the space, and he backed off too.

Your picture made me laugh.

Sorry for not providing an idea.

AT has lockable Scepter can holders that can be mounted as a multiple bank.

thats a ton fuel. Where are you going where you need that much? It's tough to get that far away in North America from a fuel station. I'd take a different approach with aux tanks underneath, packing lighter, driving a diesel, ect.

If that much fuel is a must just keep it off your roof and as low as possible. If you don't drive extreme and like to bring a lot of junk consider a small trailer.

You are far better off fitting an aux tank, or larger tank to replace an existing within the chassis of that rig than strapping a bunch of cans on.

There is PLENTY of room. Just crawl under and look.

You can get one of these but it only holds 4. It's made by Bowhead Manufacturing, is lockable, vented and costs $250.

That might work. I searched the mil surplus sites but I never saw that one. I need the cans for a few reasons. 100LL AV gas in an octane dependent sand rail. They are just right to fill at the airport and easy too dump in the rail. I also run the stuff in all my small engines like dirt bikes and chainsaws because it does not go bad or gum up in the AZ heat. It's so nice to start a generator or weed eater that still has last years gas in it. I'd like them protected because I'll throw them on a trailer along with a pile of fire on top and to keep them out of the desert sun. I fill 8 at a time and they are such a safe easy way to handle the amount of fuel I go thru. Nothing beats the Scepters.

I converted 2 single AT scepter holders into a 4 can holder using some steel strip and angle, I'll get out later to take a picture, same design could be wider and take more cans if you wanted.

Its mounted on the front of my trailer, keeps the cans in place and locked shut as per the AT design, fits gas or water cans
