Hey, are you still enroute? If so, there's a new category here, just for you: In Progress Expeditions. Not that we'd expect you to know about it, bein' on the road and all. Maybe someone will move it over there; you'd have the honors of the first thread in it. :)

Cool photos, very cool. Where to next? Can you elaborate more on the photos you posted? Like those incredible waterfalls?

Keep it up!

well no time for golf right now, im drinking to much LOL.
anyways,
the area of the water falls start at Tamasopo, wich is about 30 miles south of CD valles, there you can see the "puente de dios" waterfalls wich are like 400 yards from the parking area ,you actualy have to walk down to see it, and also the tamasopo watefalls,.we camped right in tamasopo .it was cold that night,,fortunatly it was the only cold night .
from there i went offroad again just outside of tamasopo i took a wround turn to "la encantada"were we camped next to the river, ended up it QUERETARO lol, anyways it was a bad turn since there is nothing great to see outside the map ,after 2 days we got to AQUISMON a little village wich serve for trading point for all the sourrounding mountain villages, there I eat some great tacos and corn,""AMI UNI AJAR" huasteco for "give me a corn":D
camped in acumbaque right outside of aquismon next to the river again.and next morning we had to take one of the jeeps to get the rear leaf springs redone ,they broke, 700 pesos to redo the 2 rear leaf spring on the cj7 ,cheap!!.,,from aquismon we went to tamul, the bigest water fall is amazing ,you can visit it from top or bottom, if you go from bottom is the best way, dont expect to see the waterfall right next to the trail though, they actualy take you on pangas to the water fall, wich is about one hour water ride.. for 100 pesos.,...camped at tamul again, ,there is alot more to see but we gonna have to make another trip in the spring ,there is an english castle in the jungle, that was built by indian huastecos payed by an exentric english royal dude or something ,what they are telling me is that the castle is built in an execntric way with the rocks in form of leafs and rain forest resemblance, anyways ,,i have to investigate more about it.

I have no idea what a panga is, but the trip sounds awesome. I like the vehicle tracks heading into the river in front of your Jeep.:Wow1:

Great pics Luis. That Easy-Awn looks pretty nice.

tell you what that eezi -awn , exceeded my expectations,
at night when we were standing outside chatting you could feel your cloth all wet by the "sereno" dont know the word in english,, fog? breeze?
anyway,, it was very cold and humed first night.
i had CERO condensation inside the eezi awn, the following nights was very humed and in the mnorning everything outside was soaked, but not the ezzi -awn. i slept great and dry ., no wonder it costs what it costs.

nothing good in Tampico area,
you got to get to CD VALLES and check out the maps posted on the gas stations, and visit those places only ,,other that that dont waist your time besides you need a few days to visit the places of interest on the map.
