I just scored a nice Expedition Rig. 86 E150 with a 302

It runs real strong and has 76,000 miles. It needs and exhaust system and a side window (flat glass) and a bath.

Yea I drove by it for a couple of days and then the price dropped to $900 and I decided to stop. You never see a 25 year old ford up here that isn't rusted out. I figured it must need a transmission or something major for most people. But the guys wife just wanted it gone. It appears to have spent its entire life in Florida so that explains how clean it is

Very Nice score. I am curious to see what you have planned for it aside from the obvious exhaust and glass.

Nice find! $900 - what a steal - that leaves you a lot of room for improvements!!

I recommend you put a big bold sign on the dashboard with the clearance height to remind you of how tall it is!!!!! That is one tall van. I hope you don't forget the height and wipe out an overhang.

Love that blue velour interior. Wow, what were people thinking back then :)

Well I have to go through it, The rear Bench seat need some welding on the frame, I could just imagine how those weld broke LOL. The roof AC needs a charge as well as the truck unit. The secondary Battery needs to be rewired. I'll have to check some of the electrical. It will remain a 2 wheel drive unit. I'll have to see what comes to mind, I wasn't planning on this type of unit but it was a deal I couldn't refuse. I was planning a Gypsy Vardo but I think I will abandon that idea now.

LOL isn't that great, got to love the 80s at least it isn't Burnt Orange or Teal, I do kinda like the Blue. I was a trucker for years and now I run the New England division of my company. Hight clearances are part of my life but you right it is tall

I was thrilled it had the 302 not only because of it being a little easier to work on inside a van but the better fuel consumption will make it a little more usable. It will be real nice at the beach campgrounds and parks. This is my 1st class B so I am really looking forward to the experience

Did the 302 come paired up with the AOD overdrive tranny? These old vans are awesome, but that bulletproof C6's lack of an overdrive makes things a bit more challenging to find a good balance with gearing.

Yes it does have an Automatic with Overdrive. It should be on the road next week. I will take it to my buddy's shop and have him put it up and look it over.
