specs for the ride I'm looking at.
it seems like this vehicle will be hard to have.
i may just get a dodge cummins pick up.
making an appt at the DMV to find out the requirements.
i wanted to have the truck for multi purpose use. Expedition rv with removable camper, a flat bed for moving materials (lumber, soil,&#8230, and for towing stuff.

Don't give up on the Fuso. I went with the same plan you have, a flatbed truck (Isuzu NRR) with a removable camper for hauling stuff. Mine isn't really expedition though because I purchased a 20 foot flatbed to have room behind the camper on the flatbed for motorcycles/snowmobiles.

The cabover design lets you have a compact vehicle with good visibility (at the expense of butt comfort). Our 20 foot flatbed Isuzu is only 26 feet long overall. A regular F550 or Dodge 5500 would be 30+ feet.

My Isuzu NRR has a GVWR of 19,500 pounds. I think it is about equivalent to a F550 on payload.
