2012 Toyota Tundra Limited CrewMax 4×4 — 5.7 L V8 | 275,0xx miles | Greenville, SC
$25,000 – clean SC title in hand

I believe this is a safe space to say that today is bittersweet, as I am offering up a member of the family that has been central to more life memories and amazing adventures than most people would understand. She has been so much a part of my life, I have been working my way up to this moment since we left Colorado 3 years ago.

Second owner for the past ~220 k miles. I’ve logged every upgrade and major service (≈ $30k total) in a shareable Google sheet with receipts filed and available. The truck is truly turn-key for daily duty and extended overland travel. The high mileage is due to a 3 year commute I did from Islamorada, FL (MM88) to Dadeland, FL. (150 miles round trip). She easily navigated florida flats fishing duties the first half of ownership, and gradually converted to over landing after we moved to Golden, CO. in 2016. If you like wild wide open spaces and exceptional music quality at high decibels, take a look. If you just want a ************ truck with an amazing sound system, probably take a look too. No expense was spared, OEM replacement parts were always used when their use impacted durability. Top rated service providers and non-OEM parts were always selected, typically the #1 provider I could find. This meant waiting lists and all that, but I only wanted the best work done to preserve and extend the reliability I have always gotten from this truck. She was strictly an over landing vehicle, I wasn't into rock climbing or mud. Just far away places.... You can confirm this by visual inspection of the undercarriage.

If you're interested in my professional background, if that helps reinforce the attention to detail and integrity that went into the truck: US Navy vet, with a dab of OCD.

Please advise on whether this is in a fair range asking price.

EP frowns on us commenting on for sale prices, but since you asked, and you seem like a stand up guy, I’ll give you my impression as if I was in the market, which I was for 2nd gen Tundra back when I bought my ’21 new ‘cause I just couldn’t find any good used deals here that fit my needs.

Your truck prices out on KBB at $10,xxx to 12,xxxx for a Limited Crewcab with [edit typo]27,000 275,000 mileage in Very Good condition. Of your build costs, all but the Suspension and Wheels/Tires are personal preference items I personally would not have paid for or maintenance, which is just expected to have been done. So, of those $8400 in build costs, I would have been willing to offer 50% of that cost since they were pretty new. So, $12K for the truck, and $4K for mods. I would have expected to see it priced around $20K and we might have negotiated or if I could have seen it in person and was really impressed, I might have thought that fair.

Given the the fact that you are brand new to the forum, there’s no real way to check you/your build out via posts and even for a 2nd gen Tundra 275,000 miles is a lot (yeah, I know about the million mile ones), IMO you are likely asking too much. It looks like a nicely cared for rig and I don’t doubt anything you have said about it, but if you look around, there are tons of used rigs for sale. I think things have changed a lot from 4-5 yrs ago when I couldn’t find a decent used Tundra build and plenty of rigs sold super quickly.

Others may feel different. But look around the site a bit more for comparisons. There’s several Tundra rigs with different pros and cons, but all compelling in some way. Just my honest opinion, and again, you did ask.

Beautiful truck. My favorite color. I had a 2012 Platinum Crewmax and IMO it is the best year of the best truck I've ever owned.

Can't comment on price but I can say this. I've tried and tried to find a clean, unmolested 2012 Crewmax for years now and it's damn near impossible.

@dstefan's analysis above is technically true but for someone who shops sellers, as I do, your attention to detail down to the ad itself are priceless.

Unfortunately my stable is currently full.

Good luck.

Thanks for taking some time to give me your input fella's. Sounds like a fair adjustment would be moving to a $25K asking price. It's never enough :) but I do want to be reasonable with my expectations on the value of truck.
Going to give this a few more weeks then grudgingly switch to the "used car platforms." It shouldn't matter, but I would MUCH RATHER have someone buy the truck to use it for similar experiences...
