Being active on ExPo makes it hard to resist this - sitting on a local dealer lot for about a week now - patiently awaiting a new owner. I would... but I won't... but I might... but I shouldn't... but I can't anyway. :(

Yeah, you could, would, should. Dump that Jeep and come to the land of reliability, capability and resell-a-bility. :D

I'm going to pick one up myself next week (if the seller doesn't back out on me).

That's one of the one's I looked at online yesterday! I searched cars.com for low mile 2003 and 2004 DC TRD's - not many available nation wide...

If that's the case, it won't last long if their asking price is in the right ballpark. I don't know much about their value, but this one was an auto with 77k, and they were asking $17,9 if I recall. Thought it sounded a little high, but maybe not if its that rare.

I sooo can't. Its a financial thing - but I'm really irritated about it. I love my Cherokee for what it is, but I totally appreciate the utility and versatility offered by this Taco. It'd be perfect for my family of three and our gear.

I want to reiterate that I am happy with my Cherokee. It would actually break my heart to see it go. Its very capable, I'm extremely familiar with its workings, and I love its appearance. The only problem is, by the time I put the 12V fridge in there, I've used up half of my cargo space. The back seat needs to be up for the boy, and it doesn't split or anything.

We've got this camping trip to Cape Lookout in North Carolina coming up - the whole family wants to go, and there's a good bit of gear that we want to take. I dread packing for that trip. I think the Cherokee is going to be unpleasantly full, and its a good ten hour drive.

Hey, I was just kidding :) My old 5.9 ZJ treated me nice (most of the time) and had a lot of fun in my friends' Wranglers.

Perhaps you could even look into an earlier Tundra? Can be had for cheaper. Or just get a trailer.

BTW, Toyota's rule. :shakin:

Its like a sad puppy sitting in the shelter. You shouldn't, but you should. You should just go and take him for a day to see how it is. You can always take him back if he leaks in the garage.
Just try him out for one day......:D

Yes, thats it. Peer pressure. If you don't get that truck it will haunt you. Thats "THE" one. Remember highlander. There can only be ONE. This is it. Don't let it pass.
You will always regret it.
We, your friends, will help you spend your money to outfit it and decide where to take it. :smileeek:
Whats wrong with me cshontz? what????

hmmm....truck? or trailer? truck? or trailer?
 watch the watch, you are getting sleepy, you want a Toyota, you need a Toyota, you want a trailer, you need a trailer, you are going out today to purchase a truck and trailer... I'm going to count backwards from 3. When I do you will awake and not remember any of this but you will answer the strange compulsion to call Martyn...

Don't do it, Chris. Though Tacos are sweet rigs, why take on more debt? Are on your way to getting your current ride paid off or is it paid off already? Your rig is one of the classiest rigs on this site and is the envy of many a forum member. How much do you need a truck for? Is it worth it to have to buy new stuff (armor, bumper, cap or cover, rack) to outfit your truck? Though your Xj might be loaded on a trip, it'll all still fit won't it? How often are you really gonna need the extra room? Those are questions you have to ask yourself.

Let not your heart be troubled, though that taco might be giving you that come hither look, trust in your fiscal conservatism and get thee hence from car lots of ill repute. OUT! OUT! Foul demon! Thy name is Toyota!:violent-smiley-031:
