At the SEMA show, the folks at TLC Icon showed a new addition to their retro vehicles, inspired by the Toyota Land Cruiser 45 pickup

Price is in the "if you have to ask..." category.

They should be fined for painting such a gorgeous truck such a hideous color!

Looks like they pissed off the cruisergods! :D

I like it, not sure if I would like it 5yrs down the road, but for getting attention, it works.

Too bad you could buy a house for what they charge for one.

 A Toyota p/u with Rover G4 color, I likey!

Actually, when I was at TLC a few years back Jonathan had a four door 45 p/u that personally I think is much cooler than this one. It was his surfing vehicle and had a full rack for his boards; now that was cool!

I don't think that is G4 orange, looks too yellow for that. I think the orange is an old school factory color. There is a guy around the block from me with a 45 truck and it is close to that color and I believe it is the original paint.

Your probably right on second look. It actually looks like the color on a Jeep a buddy of mine has, I think it's a CJ2A? Really old, in fact it was his grandfathers, third generation Jeep! Anyways his grandfather painted it Oklahoma Orange and it looks pretty close to that shade.

Andy, that guy up by me with the 45 pickup. Have you spoken to him?

I like it.

I can see the sales brochure already: Mortgage me at only 5%! Such a shame that it's so far out of reach for most.

It does look really nice. I assume this one uses the same parts as their ICON, chevy engine, transfer case, axles, etc?

The coolest 45 I ever saw (in a magazine) was the silver short wheelbase 45 that someone had modified an 80 series frame and axles to fit under a 45 body. Used the stock 80 axles and suspension and the stock 1FZ engine.

Now, that's a cool way to design a 45 there. All Toyota parts too. And a better suspension, steering set up for a much nicer ride and handling. I think it may have had the supercharger too.
