Nope, there isnt. They pop up on Spokane craigslist every now and then. I believe they have a welded aluminum frame.

Found this:

Roamin' Chariot Industries
Address: 419 North Long Road
City: Greenacres
State: Washington
ZIP: 99016
Phone: (509)927-8897

This was posted a year ago:

Owner Dave Kirk custom builds ‘hi-n-low’ Roamin’ Chariot campers and canopies at his Spokane Valley (Wash.) location.

Perfect for the outdoors person, these neat, light-weight campers weight around 500 pounds for a compact truck and 600 pounds for a full-size truck.

I’ve looked inside one of these tightly crafted campers, and while sparse (how much room do you need for a weekend fishing) they do come standard with a dinette table, bed slide and mattress pads. There is a long list of options.

Cost for a Full Size, short or long bed is $5,900

Long Compact will run $5,500

Short Compact is $5,200

Dave says he could build one of these beauties for you in two weeks. Call him at (509) 927-8897 or Cell: (509) 209-1502 (Verizon)

I used to hear more about them 6 or 7 years ago, but I don't think he is building them any longer ?

Simple, light weight, basic campers.

Top popped up at a 45 degree angle (kind like the old VW bus).

Not sure if they were wood frame, or welded aluminum framed ?

My guess is that they were the traditional wood frame (guessing here) ?

Nice campers for someone looking for simplicity & light weight.

Very narrow so they look good on the truck too !

When you can find them used these days on Craigslist, you can probably get one reasonally priced.

:)

From what I remember, now that the memory is jogged, and from what I can glean from the net, the Roamin' Chariot is welded aluminum frame construction. The tilt roof is unique, and some had an extra pop out portion. Don't know what that served as though.

There have been a few comments and questions about them on expo before, plug 'roamin' into the search engine.

Here's a note about Roamin Chariot from 2009:

"Sad to say I just went to RCs web page and it announced that due to present financial conditions, they are ceasing production at once.

RC was a small builder, but produced a unique unit. They are really well built. I have their small model on an S10. Its a 1980 camper, but the only place it has leaked is where a limb crashed thru the roof. Tent is solid with no leaks. Aluminum frame is still solid, and the floor, tub and wings show no sign of deterioration. Hardly typical for a 30 year old unit."

The company appears to manufacture campers for sale in the Spokane area. I can't find current information, and the company web site is defunct, so I think they went out of busienss in the last couple of years.

There are a couple for sale on Craigslist. This listing has close-up photos

Got a chuckle. I just bought an older Roamin Chariot. Getting it ready for spring camping and was searching the forums for ideas. Saw the photos you posted and first one - it is the SAME camper I bought. Drove over to western Idaho from Seattle to retrieve it. I am sure because of the ATTACK MOOSE sign on the back! Still is in good shape.
