And a small update I did prior to our last trip...

The front over-cab rack had some wobble as well.
So a simple X-brace using cable and turnbuckles were used to quiet it down.
The front eyes are also used to attack the camper to the bed for additional strength.

An update, and a seriously overdue project for this bed.
Especially since we are due for a firewood run from the property.

Side racks.

Tool less, locates and locks in with pins on the front, straddles rear rack and secures with snap pins.
Thin-wall steel tubing and .090 aliminum. Acid#8 primed and Raptor-lined. Less than 40# each.

Happy thanksgiving.

Spent much of the morning cutting and loading some easy access dead-fall tamaracs on the family property
I like to haul log-loads, using crane as much as possible to make it quick.
Its a crane I built years ago, that folds up and stows on the front of the trailer.

This is what roughly 3300lbs (1-cord) of tamarac looks like on the truck
The trailer hauled about nearly the same (just a 3500lb axle)

All in, we rolled across the scales at 15,150
Truck weighs about 7500lbs with people, dogs and gear
trailer is about 1200lbs

So about 6500lbs of tamarac firewood (y)
