ideas about magnetic antenna base

Hey All,
I have a CB and a 2M (HAM) radios, both with magnetic bases and complete ready to install (I had them in my previous rig).
I used to have a LR Disco which has the steel roof and I was able to place them there OK, but now I have RRC LWB, which has the aluminum roof.

So I was thinking I have some options:
1- Add some sort of steel platform and still use the roof
2- place them in the ARB front bumper (my favorite at this point, since it will hang low and avoid trees/parking structures)
3- place them on the hood, since that is steel too
4- ditch them and get something more permanent (which involves extra expenses, that I would like to avoid at this point)

So, what are your opinions? any other ideas?

Thanks.

Drill NMO holes in the roof. Nothing wrong with using the hood with the mag mounts, just looks bad and would be kind of in the way when you lift the hood, which of course in a Rover you'll do a lot. ;-) You could mount them on the ARB, maybe it has antenna tabs? If not they make clamp on antenna brackets that fit the tubes.
