Ideas on sealing roof penetration for solar panel cable?

I'll soon be mounting a panel to the roof of my rig and was wondering what techniques/gizmos you guys have used to seal the hole for the cable(s) and prevent leaks. Thanks in advance...Jerry

Others will chime in on off the shelf products that you can use, but here's our DIY method. I cut a hole in the side of the cabin, using a step drill; big enough for a 3/4" rubber grommet. Stuffed the wires through the wall and then lathered it up from both sides with silicon. Let it set uncovered during a couple rain storms, no leaks. Then I used the aluminum bits I had and covered it up, mainly for looks.

Finished product, or project~!

I prefer water tight cable glands, then overcoated with roof coating, and MC4 connections to make things removable/modular
