I'm a convert to Trasharoo!

Anyone have attach theirs to the rear ladder, ie Gobi ladder? Anyone think it should work?

I haven't but I don't see why it won't work. I can post a picture of me trying it out if you want. Just let me know.

I've had a Trasharoo for around 2 years now, maybe more. I get "testy" when I forget to strap it on my rear tire before I go camping. I really don't like keeping a trash bag hung on my CB antenna or sitting in the back of my FJ Cruiser anymore. On a trip awhile back a couple asked if they could use my trash bag. I said "sure!" Then they pulled out a dirty diaper. I wasn't too fond of that but hey, it was in the Trasharoo and outside my vehicle and they didn't have anywhere visible to put it so I was afraid it would end up on the ground. I made sure it was buried well in the Trasharoo and totally forgot about it.

Anybody else having problems with the webbing getting sun damage? I'm on my second bag... My last one fell off last summer. Now, the webbing seems to be fading and disintegrating pretty rapidly.

Just finished a week long trip to northern Arizona and used mine hanging on the side of my RTT rack. I use the top (cover) pocket to hold dirty laundry so no stinking up another container. Great product!

We keep our older Trasharoo on top of the roof rack 24/7...6 months on the road now and the webbing is holding up great. The Trasharoo may be a little faded by the UV, but who cares! I don't like my gear to look brand-spanking new like it's been in a museum :sombrero:

I've been contemplating getting one of these. Doing some research on the net, people are happy with the product but in the same breath I see a lot of negative comments in regards to the straps, sag and fading. Does anyone know if there is a "updated" option coming out soon? I would rather pay more up front once then to keep replacing the thing. Just my 2 cents.

An updated version is in production as we speak. It will address the problems we are running into. I take these issues personally and that is why i replace a bag at no cost to the end user ASAP. As stated previously and in other threads, we produce these bags on a large scale , so changes take time. We will also try to incorporate some of the upgraded items such as a grab handle that people have been wanting.

Good to know! I love my Trasharoo.
The one I have now is the tan color. It doesn't seem to be holding up nearly as well as the black one I had that either fell off or got stolen last summer. I'll see how it does on my trip to New England in a couple weeks.

If things work out the way they should I'll be starting my trailer project soon, and will have the perfect place for one of these. I would also be interested in the updated version timeline.

A time line is a tricky subject. Since we make them out of the country, they could arrive anywhere from 60-90 days, all the way up to 120-140 days. We've even seen our shipments take 6 months nearly to get here when sourcing materials gets finicky and holidays are involved. It's hard to say with importing as it comes down to logistics, how busy the factory is and how long it takes for test samples. We don't want to rush the production and we don't want to have a huge container of blems show up as well.

I just want you all to know we are working on this and thank you for your patience in the matter. It's just Yoshi and I and Trasharoo is not our primary business, so sometimes it's hard to be able to focus 110% of each day on production goals. With that said, we want all of you to be happy with your purchase and be able to use it for years, not months. We will do whatever it takes.

Thanks again,

Would it be feasible to say before the end of the year?

Yes, i would say by the end of the year at the latest. We're looking into another plant that can communicate better on a daily basis. This combined with changing some materials (upgrading) and no longer dying the straps is one of the issues we're dealing with right now. Eventually, it will be a GEN3 bag with a few more requests put into production. For now, the GEN2 bags are still available and offered at a replacement guarantee if there ever is a problem down the road.

I really like my Trasheroo and am asked about it at campsites and gas stations all the time. Mine is ( was) black and has faded nicely. I don't get complaints about fading..it's a trash can.
Thanks, Dave and Yoshi!
