I'm BACK!!! 2023 F-250 Tremor build

Yes, I will keep the Fox 2.0's for that very reason. I see no reason to realign for a shock swap, a temporary one at that.
I’ve done the same. I kept my 2.0s for rebuild time as well. I’ll just throw them in with no alignment. I did the same when adding the 2.5s, and checked the alignment myself afterwards. No issues. I don’t see why there would be.

I have a set of King 2.5's from Accu-Tune with their custom Adventure Tune on the way. After talking it over with a few friends that have both I felt like the Kings were the way for me to go for a couple of reasons. 1)They are cheaper than the Fox by nearly $700/set, 2)They have a slightly softer ride on road, and 3)Their adjusters are easier to get to, especially in the rear.

The Fox's have more adjustability, not something I necessarily need but it would be nice. The Fox have aluminum bodies so they would likely hold up better over time to road grime/debris, but seeing how I am in the south winter road salts aren't a factor which is the biggest issue with the King steel bodies. Shafts seem to be wash for a number of reasons so I didn't let that impact my decision all that much.

Both will likely require rebuilds every few years or 40-50K miles so I plan to keep my current Fox 2.0's to swap back on for when the King's need to go in for an overhaul. I have been pleased with the Fox 2.0's but in the last few months the rears have started to get a little rougher in terms of compression. I have had them on the truck for 1.5 years and 25K+ miles now so I am not surprised that they might be beginning to show some performance degradation. That said, they show no signs of leaks or failure.

I have owned both King and Fox 2.0/2.5's in the past so I have very little bias between the two, that said, I hope that I made the right decision in the long run.

I have been back and forth on those two offerings from Accu-Tune for a few weeks. Are you pairing them with the factory front sway bar, the Carli torsion sway bar, or are you going mad and removing it completely?

I wanted to try the Fox but they did say they aren't as plush. Right now I have the factory sway bar on but I'd remove it before I'd pay for the Carli torsion. I've spoked with quite a few who have had it and most just ditched it with better results. I figure it's free to try that route first and should it not perform how I'd expect it to then I could fork over the cash for the torsion.

Makes sense. Did you have Accu-Tune change anything with that in mind, or just went for their normal sport or dual-sport tune with your inputs on weight, engine, springs, etc?

Dropped them off with my wrap guy today to get covered in PPF. I hope to have them on the truck sometime next week.

I wish they had the King option when I bought mine. The Fox are nice but if there was a plusher option that would have been awesome.

My truck had front and rear sway bars. I have played around with them each individually. I haven't had either on the truck in 18 months. I'd put one on the back before I put one on the front. The truck feels more planted and is easier to control without them. Even on the highway.

Don't the Tremors have a softer sway bar? The Carli probably really isn't worth it.

Wrap guy? Are you indicating you can't package it?

PPF - paint protection film?

Wrap guy as in the shop that applies vinyl wraps to vehicles. And yes, I am having him cover the steel shock bodies in PPF aka paint protection film.

I will try running without the front and see how I like it before I make any other changes. I like the construction of Fox shocks better than King, they simply use better materials but ride quality edges out that aspect for me personally and both will need occasional rebuilds so I call that a wash especially when you consider the cost delta that brings the Kings back in line IMHO. I've owned both in the past and I didn't see any faster degradation with the Kings over the Fox. I personally don't see the Carli sway bar as an upgrade where the juice is worth the squeeze.

A few upgrades this week. New King 2.5's from AccuTune and the BMC Apex XL Baja Designs XL80/S1 combo I got lightly used from another member here getting out of his Tremor.

single knob adjustability is so nice. I have the Icons which help dial it in a bit more, but I love one click set and forget setups. Nice setup.

Two week report, it's all gravy baby. Much improved ride, especially over anything larger than small bumps. I have found myself three clicks out from the softest setting for every day driving. I should be towing this weekend if the weather cooperates, I'll report back on my findings there if I do.
